Who We Are
Donegal Local Development CLG (DLDC) is a community led local development organisation. Established in 1995, it is led by a voluntary Board of Directors from community and voluntary groups, social partners, local government and state bodies. Our catchment area covers County Donegal except for the Inishowen area, which is covered by Inishowen Development (IDP).
DLDC has over 25 years’ experience of delivering to communities on the ground, providing a wide range of local development services including training, work placements, grants and service.
We provide a wide-range of supports to individuals, communities and community groups in Donegal.

Our Impact
For over 25 years, Donegal Local Development Company has been at the heart of community change across County Donegal. Since 1995, we have worked alongside individuals, families, and communities to break down barriers, build opportunity, and create lasting change where it matters most.
Through programmes like SICAP, LEADER, and Sláintecare Healthy Communities, co-funded by the Irish Government and the European Union, we deliver real, measurable support to those who need it most: people seeking employment, communities developing social enterprises, families navigating life’s challenges, and rural areas striving to thrive.
Our work spans employment and self-employment support, education and lifelong learning, health and wellbeing, parenting services, rural development, and volunteering, ensuring that no matter where someone is in life, there is a path forward with us beside them.
From our offices across County Donegal, our dedicated team and voluntary Board of Directors continue to invest in the people and places that make this county exceptional.
Together, we build stronger communities.
